Shora Farahani

I am from Iran and I relocated from San Francisco where I lived for over 5 years to Madison/Raven Software a couple of months ago .  I graduated from the Academy of Art University there in 2009 and have been busy mostly making my own produced CG short films, aside from a few gigs here and there (from architecture visualizations to live-action work to magazine covers).

You can check out both of my films online (The latest one was for a competition by Ridley Scott’s agency and although I didn’t win it, I made it to the final round and received a great personal email from the man himself).

I play basketball, watch lots and lots of movies (probably around 290 of all the 300 movies released each year no matter how bad or weird they may be).Some of the most recent favorites include Speed Racer, (500) Days of Summer, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Batman Under the Red Hood, How to Train Your Dragon and Rango.

I usually take a look at some of the more important and better reviewed Comics. I recently quite enjoyed Y: The Last Man.  And of course, lots of games, no matter what genre.  All time favorite is a tossup between Baldurs Gate 2 and Fallout 2.  Some of the recent favorites are Mirror’s Edge, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (probably best FPS around) and Crysis.
