In 1994, having graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Eric began his writing and design career as a part-time summer hire for Raven Software. By the end of the summer Eric was extended a full time offer as a Level Designer (which he happily accepted.) Shelving his plans to go to graduate school, he instead focused on making great video games; a goal that would forever change his life. Since that fateful day, Eric has been fortunate enough to work with the talented people at Raven on many incredible games and some of the greatest licenses on Earth.
With a resume that includes the Heretic and Hexen series, Soldier of Fortune, Jedi Outcast, Quake 4, Wolfenstein, and Singularity among others, Eric has dabbled in nearly everything, from designer, to audio, to scripting, to his current position of Creative Director. From fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting Skywalker Ranch to playing laser tag in the darkened hallways of a late night studio, the roller coaster of Eric’s life has continued to keep him smiling.
In his free time, Eric enjoys video games (obviously!), playing the bass and guitar, pushing little plastic and metal figures around while pretending to fight a war, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoys sunsets, holding hands, long walks on the beach, and other clichés.
