Arnie Swekel

Arnie Swekel was born May 2nd 1963 and grew up in River Rouge Michigan. He attended The Center for Creative Studies for a year in Detroit. After wandering a wildly diverse choice of career paths for a few years, he began working as an Art Agent for McNamara and Associates, the largest commercial art studio in the nation (at the time), He is a self-taught artist and today is well known in science fiction and fantasy circles. He owned his own company, One Eyed Dog, for over a decade and worked as a concept artist and illustrator with a wide variety of production and gaming companies: TSR and Wizards of the Coast to name a few. His work has appeared on magazine covers, movie posters and in books for the past 17 years. His art and designs can also be seen on Magic the Gathering, Harry Potter, World of Warcraft cards and has worked with a variety of toy companies. His travels as an artist representing these companies have taken him all over the world more than once.

Currently, Arnie is a principle artist for Activision at Raven Software in Middleton, WI, where he's also a production designer, art director, illustrator and concept artist for such titles as Quake IV, Wolfenstein, and Singularity.
